The LA Lakers may look at adding another free agent into training camp and players like Norris Cole, JaVale McGee, Brendan Haywood and Bobby Brown are options, as Los Angeles may want some roster depth for D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Roy Hibbert and Julius Randle for Kobe Bryant and this comes as players like Toure Murry and Eric Moreland could get camp invites.

The Lakers have been a very active team this summer and according to the Los Angeles Times, the team has 12 guaranteed contracts coming into the middle of August. According to Basketball Insiders, the Lakers are interested in signing JaVale McGee to a deal and they are considered the "front runners" along with the Mavericks. The team also is looking at other players for camp invites, as Marc Stein reports that Bobby Brown and Murry are getting workouts, while Shams Charania of Real GM reports that Jonathan Holmes has been signed for a camp tryout.

Norris Cole and Brendan Haywood are other free agents available on the market, but what happens with those two could depend on where other players sign. Cole is a restricted free agent and can have his offers matched by the Pelicans, but Pro Basketball Talk reports that the team is also looking to sign Jason Terry. According to Sam Amico at Fox Sports, the Knicks, Sixers and Lakers have also shown interest in Cole. The Lakers could be a fit, as the team is looking to add some veteran depth behind young players Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell.

Haywood is on the market after being waived by the Blazers and that came after a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. If the Lakers do not add McGee, the team could look at Haywood as an option. Haywood did not play much for the Cavs last season, but he could be a nice reserve option behind Hibbert and Robert Sacre for the Lakers. The team is mostly set at forward with Julius Randle, Brandon Bass and Tarik Black as well as Ryan Kelly and the Lakers could consider adding another center.

The Lakers have some options at the end of the roster and the team is looking to work out a number of players to see who fits. Marc Stein at ESPN reports that Sean Kilpatrick will get a workout, while David Pick reports that DJ Kennedy and Eric Moreland are also going to get looks. Moreland is also a target for the Miami Heat, according to the Sun Sentinel, while Stein reports that Kilpatrick is getting a look after playing with Milwaukee in the Summer League.

Jared Zwerling at Bleacher Report wrote last week that Bobby Brown is also getting a workout from the Lakers. The team could look at adding the guard for depth and while he has not played in the NBA for a few years, he has played overseas and also has been playing for the USA Basketball Men's Pan American Games this summer. Zwerling wrote that Brown had a "great, quick release" in the Drew League and he could be a fit for the Lakers after averaging 5.1 points and 1.8 assists per game in his career.
