The Sacramento Kings are not likely going for a DeMarcus Cousins trade this season as the team tries to build a winning roster around the big man and this comes as Reggie Evans is a free agent target to return, while Seth Curry could compete in camp to be the backup for Rajon Rondo after signing a contract this summer.

The Kings have been an active team this summer and they have added Marco Belinelli, Rajon Rondo and Kosta Koufos to contracts along with Caron Butler. The team should be deeper and if Rondo can get back to his past performance level, the offense should be much improved. According to the Sacramento Bee, the Kings are not currently looking at a deal with Cousins after he was shopped earlier in the summer. There is a chance things could change, but right now no trade is happening.

According to Sheridan Hoops, Evans could be an option to return, as he remains on the free agent market for the Kings. Cousins reportedly likes playing with Evans and that could be another reason to bring him back. Evans averaged around four points last season with 6.4 rebounds and he is a solid backup player. Seth Curry could be a solid backup with Darren Collison for Rondo this season and those players likely will compete for minutes.

Curry signed a deal this summer and with Collison coming back after an injury, the Kings now have some insurance behind Rondo after Curry played well in the summer league for the Pelicans. Yahoo Sports reports that the Kings have reached an agreement with Curry for two years and it's a fully guaranteed deal with a player option in the second year. Curry looked good in the Summer League and he comes in after averaging over 24 points, 4.2 rebounds, three assists and three steals in six games played.

Collison played in 45 games last season and averaged 16 points and 5.6 assists per game and he should be ready for the start of the season. Rondo comes in after averaging nine points and eight assists last season and he is looking to bounce back after a tough season split between Dallas and Boston. The Kings were interested all offseason in adding another guard and the team reportedly had interest in Andre Miller.

The Kings were mentioned early in the summer in trade rumors regarding Cousins, as reports had head coach George Karl looking to trade the big man. The front office and ownership did not want to trade the franchise center, but they let his agent look for a deal and the Lakers appeared to be the best partner. Now it looks like that Cousins and Karl are going to try and work things out for a go in Sacramento.
