Are the Denver Broncos ready for life without Peyton Manning? It appears as if Brock Osweiler is getting a decent chance at being the main guy in Denver.

Peyton is standing on the sidelines during training camp as Osweiler works with the first team offense; an unusual place to say the least for Manning. Peyton is being forced to come to terms with his age and limitations but so are the Broncos. The only thing multiple camp reps will do when you're nearing 40 is increase your vulnerability to injury.

The Broncos are being extremely careful with Manning making sure to not blow out his arm or his body before the regular season gets underway. This is a smart course of action, Manning looked significantly depleted as the playoffs got closer last season and if this is Peyton's last chance at winning a Super Bowl they want to make sure the best Peyton is on the field.

That is where Osweiler comes in; he will spell Manning for most of the reps in training camp as well as if the Broncos are ahead by a large margin. The Broncos may figure out other ways to bring in Osweiler but for now it seems as if this is Peyton's last tour.

The Broncos also have to figure out if they want Osweiler as their next franchise quarterback or if they would like to pursue one in the draft or free agency. Osweiler should be more of a bridge player than the heir apparent to the reigns of the Bronco's offense, expect them to draft a quarterback possibly as soon as the next NFL draft.
