The Chicago Bulls could look at signing a free agent like Greg Stiemsma, JaVale McGee, Jeff Withey or Glen Davis to help backup Joakim Noah on the roster and this comes as the team may consider a Taj Gibson trade in the future this season, while players Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose may sit out of the Team USA minicamp coming up this month.

The Bulls are coming into the back stretch of the summer looking to improve into next season and the team has a new head coach and the chance to challenge the Cavs again. The team signed back Jimmy Butler to a max contract extension and that was a huge priority taken care of and now the Bulls are set to build around him for years to come. Derrick Rose was not back to his MVP level, but he stayed mostly healthy and is looking to do that again.

Fred Hoiberg will bring a different mindset than Tom Thibodeau and some of the players are likely very happy about that. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls are likely bringing in another center for training camp, as the team only has Joakim Noah as a true center on the roster. The team has depth at forward with Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis along with Cameron Bairstow and that makes center a need moving forward.

Nazr Mohammed is reportedly considering retirement and the team is set at guard with Rose and Aaron Brooks as the primary point guards along with Kirk Hinrich on the roster. The team needs more behind Noah, as he has dealt with injuries in the past. Gasol can play some center, but that isn't what the Bulls want to do with the rotation. According to Michael Scotto at Sheridan Hoops, Kevin Seraphin is getting attention on the market and could be an option for the Bulls, Lakers, Knicks or Washington Wizards.

Seraphin would be mostly a reserve/bench option, but the Bulls need some depth at center. According to Pro Basketball Talk the Wizards would "love" to have Seraphin back, but he is hoping to have a bigger role if he signs elsewhere. Seraphin likely wouldn't play a ton with the Bulls, but it might be better than some other situations. JaVale McGee and Glen Davis are also available, while Greg Stiemsma and Justin Hamilton could be options. UPDATE: Kevin Seraphin has signed with the Knicks. The Knicks have signed Kevin Seraphin to a one-year deal.

The Bulls could consider making a trade later this season with Taj Gibson, as the team has some solid depth at forward. The Chicago Tribune reported earlier this summer that Gibson could be on the trading block, as the Bulls have Gasol, an emerging Mirotic and Portis coming in as a rookie. Gibson has been solid for the Bulls, but he may be too expensive for his role, as he is making $8 million in each of the next two seasons.
