Jermaine Gresham remains an NFL free agent on the market, but he could sign soon, as the tight end reportedly will meet with the Arizona Cardinals and it comes as he has previously had interest from the Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints this offseason.

Gresham is coming off of back surgery and that is one reason why he remains on the market as a free agent. According to Adam Schefter at ESPN, Gresham has a meeting set with the Arizona Cardinals this week and it comes after he previously met with the Saints this offseason. The Raiders had early interest in Gresham before the tight end found out he needed back surgery and the team could pick back up on that interest again before training camp.

Gresham was considered to be one of the better tight ends on the free agent market this summer and he could have multiple suitors looking at him into camp. Schefter reports that the Cardinals have interest after losing John Carlson to retirement unexpectedly. The depth chart could use a bit more at the position with Troy Niklas, Darren Fells, Ted Bolser and Gerald Christian the main options and Gresham could be a fit.

ESPN reports that the Saints have an "offer on the table" for Gresham, while the tight end also "has other visits planned" heading towards training camp. Gresham has been productive in his time with the Bengals, but the team is reportedly not interested in signing back the tight end, according to Coley Harvey of ESPN. The Bengals have Tyler Eifert and other young tight ends on the roster and that likely means Gresham will be with a new team next season.

Gresham had back surgery five months ago and he is expected to be healthy for the start of the season. Gresham comes in after making 62 catches last season for 460 yards and five touchdowns for the Bengals. Gresham has been relatively healthy throughout his career with Cincy, missing just three games in the last three seasons and six total in five years. Gresham's best season came back in 2012 when he had 64 catches for 737 yards and five TDs and he could be a nice addition for any teams in need of a tight end.

Mike Triplett on Twitter reports that Gresham has been a target for the Saints "for months" and that they will likely sign him if other teams pass. The Saints traded Jimmy Graham this offseason and they have Josh Hill and Benjamin Watson on the roster at tight end. The Broncos lost rookie Jeff Heuerman to an injury and they added Owen Daniels after losing Julius Thomas in free agency. Gresham could help add some depth there, while the Raiders have two solid young players in Mychal Rivera and Clive Walford coming into training camp.
