FIFA Women's World Cup Group Standings: United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, France Leaders After Opening Matches

The FIFA Women's World Cup has started and the group standings have the United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, France and Norway among the leaders after the opening matches and this week the teams will start the second set of games as the knockout round gets closer.

The United States opened with a victory over Australia and they are in first place in Group D with three points after the victory. The Group D set is one of the tougher groups in the draw and the team next plays against Sweden before finishing against Nigeria. Group A has Canada and the Netherlands leading things with three points, while New Zealand and China have zero points to start off.

The Group B standings has Germany leading after scoring 10 goals in their opening match against the Ivory Coast and they have three points along with Norway with Thailand the other one of the group. Cameroon and Japan each have three points for Group C and they are leading the Swiss and Ecuador. Team USA is leading the Group D standings with Nigeria and Sweden tied with one point, while Australia has zero points.

Group E has Spain in first place with Costa Rica with one point, while Brazil and Korea are in the bottom of the group. France is the Group F leader with three points, while Colombia and Mexico have one point each and England is last with zero.
