The UEFA Champions League final has Barcelona and Juventus playing for the championship from Berlin and the match is from the Olympiastadion and will be on FOX with live stream coverage from the Fox Soccer 2Go Live Extra website as Lionel Messi leads his Spanish side against the Italian champs for the UCL trophy for 2014-15.
Messi has had another fantastic season and he is looking to complete it with a European title. Last year Real Madrid won the title over Atletico Madrid and that saw Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale win the championship and now Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez have their chance to get it done. Suarez and Giorgio Chiellini were set to play against each other after the World Cup bite seen round the world, but Chiellini will be out for the match with an injury.
Barcelona comes in after dominating bayern Munich in the semis and they looked very strong on offense, outscoring the German champions on aggregate to advance. Juventus won over the defending champions in Real Madrid and now they will try and take down Messi and the star studded lineup of Barcelona. Juventus is going to miss having Chiellini in the lineup, as he can be a pest for the front players and he is one of the key defenders.
Suarez came to the team after his voting incident at the World Cup and he moved in from Liverpool after he had a standout season in the Premier League. Suarez will not be matching up with Chiellini, the defender who received his bite and that takes one of the minor story lines out of the championship match. Barcelona has Andres playing in the lineup after he dealt with an injury with a tweak of his leg muscle against Bilbao in the Copa del Rey, but he is expected to be okay for this match.
Barcelona has been one of the best teams overall in the world this season and they trying to add another trophy for the treble after also winning the La Liga title. Messi has been the driving force and so far Barca has not dealt with any major injuries and that has been big as they have went through the second half of the season. Chiellini is out with a calf tear and missing him could be one of the main factors in the match.
Juventus is also in position to win a treble, as they are trying to get the Champions League title after taking Serie A and winning the Coppa Italia final. Dealing with Neymar and Suarez along with Messi is no easy feat and Juventus will have to play them without Chiellini on the pitch. The trio has scored over 100 goals this season and they are trying to finish it off now in the UCL.
