Lamar Miller #26 of the Miami Dolphins runs with the ball as Rishard Matthews and DeVante Parker block ahead during the teams first OTA's on May 26, 2015 at the Miami Dolphins training facility in Davie, Florida."

The Miami Dolphins are coming into offseason workouts with Ryan Tannehill looking to keep things going after having a career season and he has some new weapons in Jordan Cameron, DeVante Parker, Jay Ajayi and Greg Jennings and this comes as the team could consider a trade with Lamar Miller or Rishard Matthews to the Dallas Cowboys this season, as both players are in the final years of their contracts.

The Dolphins are in OTA workouts this week and heading into camp players like Parker and Ajayi have received high marks for how they have performed. The Dolphins are a bit in "win now" mode after signing Ndamukong Suh and giving Tannehill a big contract extension and the future of Joe Philbin could be decided on whether the team makes the playoffs or not. According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins had Rishard Matthews in OTA workouts and that came after he previously said he wanted to be traded or released.

The Dolphins made a number of moves at the wide receiver position this offseason by bringing in Parker, Jennings and also Kenny Stills in a trade and that pushed Matthews down the depth chart. Matthews asked for his trade or release even before the draft and he reiterated that feeling once offseason workouts started. Matthews showed up for OTAs after missing the first two phases, but he may still want out.

The Dolphins could consider making a move after OTAs or during the summer and this comes after Mike Wallace was traded and both Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson were released. According to Fox Sports, the Dolphins are not considering a trade with Miller, but he could come up as a target for a team like the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones said the team would consider a trade for an RB for a first round pick and with Miller headed towards free agency, there is a chance he could end up a target.

Miller is not being shopped, but there is a chance he could be a target during the summer or during the middle of the season. Miller rushed for 1099 yards last season and he now has Ajayi behind him and he comes in as a very productive rookie after playing at Boise State and putting up over 2000 total yards last year. The Dolphins are hoping for an improved rushing attack.

The Dolphins were interested in adding another back behind Miller this offseason, as they hosted free agent Stevan Ridley and he could have been a pickup for the team at running back, but he signed with the Jets. Knowshon Moreno is not expected to return and the team could also look at Felix Jones, Ben Tate, Chris Johnson or Steven Jackson as potential options even after taking Ajayi in the draft. .

The Dolphins have been an active team this offseason after signing Ndamukong Suh and acquiring Kenny Stills and now they could look at adding more as they head into camp. The Dolphins a solid cap situation moving forward, but it's tight with Suh coming in on such a big deal. Miller will command some money and if the team sees Ajayi as a potential starter, they could move Miller in the hopes of getting a decent draft pick.
