Chile and the United States are playing an international friendly on the schedule Wednesday and the game from Estadio El Teniente, Rancagua is on TV from Fox Sports 1 and Univision and will be streaming from Fox Soccer 2Go as Jurgen Klinsmann leads Team USA on the road as the USMNT starts the year and the game is on at 6 pm ET.

The national team schedule starts with a strong opponent with Chile and this is a big year for the United States, as they had a good showing in the World Cup. The US team has been successful over the past few years and Klinsmann has really turned things around and now they are hoping to keep going heading into the Cup in Russia in 2018. The US and Chile have played before, with the two playing in California four years ago and that had a 1-1 result and all-time Chile has a 4-3-2 record against the US.

This matchup starts the 2015 season for the USMNT and Klinsmann is looking to get MLS players out front, as they are the majority of the roster. Klinsmann also has striker Bobby Wood and Seattle Sounders product DeAndre Yedlin from Tottenham Hotspur as the only players from foreign clubs right now. Klinsmann has a plan with how he comprises the roster and it really worked out this past summer with the success in the World Cup.

Klinsmann and the team play against Chile on Wednesday and then the team matches up with Panama on Sunday and that will be at 4 pm ET. The team has some decisions to make going forward, as Lee Nguyen has potential while forward Chris Wondolowski almost was a national hero with his play in Brazil. Tim Howard is not with the team from this run and could return down the line, but that leaves Nick Rimando as the main option. The team also has to rely on stars Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey, while Matt Besler and Jermaine Jones also will get significant time.

The US doesn't have the best record in friendlies in South America, but Klinsmann said that the team is ready to get started after the long break. The team has not actually had a friendly in South America for some time, as this is the first international friendly in the continent since the USMNT had a 2-1 win against Chile in 2000. Klinsmann put together a solid roster and moving forward the United States should be one of the best teams in CONCACAF as World Cup qualifying and that long process begins this year.
