Roger Federer of Switzerland celebrates winning his match against John Millman of Australia during day five of the 2015 Brisbane International at Pat Rafter Arena on January 8, 2015 in Brisbane, Australia. "

The ATP tennis season for 2015 is underway and the schedule picks up in Brisbane and Qatar and the scores, results and draws have Roger Federer through in Australia, while Novak Djokovic won in the Middle East, but number two seeded Rafael Nadal was upset in the first round after showing some rust in the warm-up before the Australian Open.

Federer was also a bit rusty, but he was able to win in Australia and opened his 2015 season with a victory. According to ESPN.com, Federer won over Australian wild-card entry John Millman 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and now he moved into the next round. Brisbane is a solid tee up for the Open and last year Federer ended up losing to Lleyton Hewitt in the finals last time around. Federer is looking to stay in top form and he is the top man in this tournament.

Nadal came into Qatar as the defending champion, but he is now out after getting upset in the first round of the tournament. Nadal played tough and tried to gut things out, but he was rusty and lost to German qualifier Michael Berrer 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the first round and now he must prepare on his own for the Aussie Open. Nadal said he felt fine, but that he was a bit rusty after coming back from an injury.

Nadal has looked good at times since coming back from multiple injuries, but he has some lingering issues. Nadal was previously out for three months with a wrist injury after Wimbledon and he also dealt with appendicitis and underwent an appendectomy in November. Nadal was playing his first match since losing in the Basel quarterfinals to 17-year-old Borna Coric of Croatia in October.

Djokovic had no issues in his matchup, winning  6-2, 6-1 win in a 59-minute match as the top seed and it comes after he withdrew from the Abu Dhabi exhibition final last week after getting sick. Djokovic is at the tournament for the first time and now he likely is the favorite to win with Nadal out.
