The Houston Texans have some major quarterback questions heading into 2015 and names like Brian Hoyer, Sam Bradford, Michael Vick and Mark Sanchez could be options on the free agent market, while and RG3 or Jay Cutler could be potential trade targets for Bill O'Brien if he opts to make a move over Ryan Mallett, Ryan Fitzpatrick or Tom Savage.

The Texans have had inconsistent play at quarterback all season and after starting with Ryan Fitzpatrick, the team turned to Ryan Mallett, but he got injured and now both players are out. The team turned to Tom Savage but he came down with an injury as well and now moving forward the Texans may look at other players to come in for next season. ESPN.com reported that Brian Hoyer will be a target for the Texans along with the Titans, while Mark Sanchez has also played well this season and could be a potential target on the free agent market.

The Texans had the chance to select Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel this season but went with Jadeveon Clowney and now that is looking like a bad move. Clowney has talent and still may end up as a great player, but after having an up and down season as a rookie while dealing with injuries, his future is unclear. Clowney is having micro fracture surgery and that is hard to come back from and if he ends up a bust, the QB situation will look ever worse for the Texans. Jay Cutler could also be a target if he is traded by the Bears after getting benched.

Bradford is an interesting option, as the Texans could buy low on him if he is released by the Rams after the season. Bradford is coming off of another major injury to his knee and he has a cap number of 16.58 million next year and that means he could be on the chopping block. Bradford has shown some potential in his career, but he has dealt with injuries in each season and that could lead to him hitting the market. NFL.com reports that the Rams are planning to bring Bradford back, but if that changes, the Texans could be an option for him.

Bradford has only played in sixteen games once in the past three seasons and that was his best year with 3702 yards and 21 TDs. Last season Bradford played in seven games and threw for 1687 yards and 14 TDs and now he could be an option to get released. Hoyer is an interesting option as well, as he has played up and down this season, but for a time it looked like he was the real deal for the Browns. The team benched him for Johnny Manziel and now he could be poised to leave.

ESPN.com reports that the Texans will take a look at Hoyer, who has 11 TDs and 12 picks this season along with 3200 yards. With the Browns out of the playoffs, it's likely that Hoyer will remain on the bench and that could lead to him signing elsewhere as a free agent. Hoyer has fallen apart lately, going for 10 picks and three TDs in the last six games that he played and now he likely will stay on the bench for the rest of this season.
