The Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles are playing live on the NFL Week 14 schedule and the matchup from Lincoln Financial Field starts at 4:25 pm ET and is on TV from FOX and streaming online from the Fox Sports Go website and comes at a big time for the NFC playoff picture, as both teams are in right races and will be looking to get the victory.
The Seahawks come into the game after a long break after playing the 49ers on Thanksgiving and the Eagles also played last Thursday and both teams won their games. The Hawks won big on the road and so did the Eagles, with Seattle allowing just a field goal to San Francisco. The Seahawks still have the chance to win their division and they can put the 49ers out of the playoff race with a win next Sunday after just winning over the team.
The Seahawks have the top rushing offense in the league and the defense has been great and now they will have a full plate with the Eagles offense. Russell Wilson threw for 236 yards last week while Marshawn Lynch had over 100 yards and the Seahawks have now won five of the last six and two in a row coming into the final quarter of the season. The team has the Niners again along with the Cardinals and Rams and that could be enough to get the team into the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title.
The Eagles have basically the same situation as the Niners, as they played on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys and will play the team again next week, but at their home stadium. The Eagles won big over the Cowboys and they are first in the NFC East and they look to be headed towards the playoffs and they are ranked in the top 10 in offense with 286 passing yards per game and 130 rushing yards on the ground. The Eagles defense has been playing better and they now have the chance to get a big win here and they will have to play the Cowboys again next week. The Cowboys won already this week with a game on Thursday and now they are looking to get ahead of the Eagles with a victory head to head.
The Eagles and Seahawks both have strong offensive units, but Seattle has the better defense and that could be the major factor in this game. Russell Wilson has had a strong season and he comes in looking to get another win in a row for the team. The Seahawks have the chance to get another win to get closer with the Cardinals and with that game still to come on the schedule the division race is still open.
