The College Football Playoff bracket will be set on Sunday afternoon live on ESPN when the selection committee makes their final four and the semifinals in the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will have Alabama, Florida State and Oregon in, while Baylor and TCU are out and Ohio State is the final team into the first playoff.

Alabama, Florida State and Oregon are in and the selections for the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will be for the semifinals of the playoff. The Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl and Orange Bowl will have good teams pick from along with the Cotton Bowl. Ohio State, TCU and Baylor have the chance to get that final spot in the playoff and these matchups should be great.

Oregon, Alabama and Florida State all took care of business by winning and while FSU once again did not look great, they are undefeated and national champions so they will be in. Baylor won huge, but so did Ohio State and TCU has the advantage of being in the top four already. The committee will not allow that fact dictate what happens and that is why many think Ohio State will get in, as they had an impressive performance against a tough Wisconsin team.

Baylor has the head to head win over TCU and there is a chance those teams will both get left out, as OSU played very well and had the style points in the Big Ten championship. Florida State won by two over another tough team in the ACC championship game and they should be locked in along with Alabama and Oregon. Alabama came into the week at number one and they were ahead of Oregon and while those teams are likely to stay there, the debate between who is three and four should rage on after this first selection bracket.

The SEC championship game wasn't really close with Missouri and the potential matchups should have number two Oregon playing Florida State, while number one Alabama should play against either Ohio State, Baylor or TCU. The first college football playoff is already a success in the fact that the final weekend of college football was filled with intrigue and now the selection committee has a tough choice to make. Ole Miss should move up in the rankings after winning the Egg Bowl, while Georgia Tech and Michigan State should also get into big games.
