FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps are starting the MLS Cup playoffs on Wednesday and knockout round game is live from Frisco at the Toyota Stadium in Texas as the western conference postseason begins and this is for a spot in the semifinals and it starts up at 8 pm ET and will be on MLS LIVE and on the MLSsoccer.com website.
Dallas comes into the playoffs for the first time in a few years and they ended up as the fourth place team in the west this season. Dallas is very good at home and they just won eight games in a row in Frisco before losing in the season finale and now they have Vancouver coming in. The western conference was very tough in the middle this season and now it's the Whitecaps and Dallas in to see who will advance into the next round.
The Whitecaps had a strong end to the season and they are into the playoffs for the first time since back in 2012 and this marks the second time that the team has made it. The Whitecaps have not lost in five games and they also have kept up a very long scoreless streak and that should make this matchup very tough. These two teams played in September and now they are matching up again and Dallas comes in after last losing in the playoffs in 2011 to NY and now they have the chance to make up for that appearance.
Dallas finished the season with a loss against Portland and that was the first home loss since back in May and now they have the chance to start a new streak. Dallas has not lost yet against Vancouver at home in the five matchups they have played and they have only allowed two goals in that time while scoring 10.
