The Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers are playing live on the NBA schedule for the season opener and the matchup in Indy is from Bankers Life Fieldhouse as the Sixers visit and this is the first game for the Pacers without Paul George and starts up at 7 pm ET and should be an easy win against the worst team in the league.

The Pacers come into the season after losing Paul George to a scary leg injury and they previously were the top team in the east. The Pacers play next against the Grizzlies at home to start the season and they come in after winning 56 games last season and they would be lucky to get to 50 without George this year. The Pacers have the toughest division in the league this season with the Bulls and the Cavaliers and they will need all hands on deck this season and on Wednesday night.

Two starters are down for the game on Wednesday and that means the team will need even more from the bench. The team is without Paul George and while he is taking jump shots, any support from him is far off, while Lance Stephenson is gone after signing with the Hornets in the offseason. George Hill and David West will both be out and that means Roy Hibbert is the big man left in the starting lineup.

Hill and West are both going to be out for a few games and Hibbert comes in as the main star left and the Pacers will need to use Rodney Stuckey and others to get things going. The Sixers are a scrub team right now and even with the Pacers down some players, they still should be able to win things. Stephenson is gone and the team will have to find a way to replace him and the Pacers come in after being the best team in the east last season.

It's very unlikely that happens this year and the Sixers come in without Michael Carter-Williams and he was the rookie of the year last season. The Pacers were terrible in the second half and still kept the top seed and they nearly were upset by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs. The team made it through and then won over the Wizards and that set up another series with Miami. The Heat ended their season once again after doing it in the east finals before that and now the Pacers have to find a way to come together with all their injuries and issues.
