Manchester City and Newcastle United are playing live on the Capital One Cup schedule for the Football League Cup on Wednesday and the match from Etihad Stadium starts up at 3:45 pm ET and is streaming live from beIN Sport online as Man City and their EPL foe face off in the fourth round and this is a big matchup for both sides after their Premier League work this weekend and midfielder Samir Nasri will be back for the Citizens.

Manchester City comes into the weekend at third in the English Premier League standings and they trail Chelsea by a bit and have played well after a slow start. The team has a lead on West Ham and they are looking to stay in form for this match, as they have some tough EPL games coming up. Newcastle comes into things down at number 14 and they have 10 points on the season and they are tied there with West Brom and Aston Villa.

Frank Lampard will be out for the club in this match and that makes it much better for Manuel Pellegrini that Nasri will be making a return and he comes back after missing the last seven matches. Nasri has dealt with a groin injury and he is happy to come back and this is a big game for the team, as they have never lost to Newcastle at home at the Etihad. The team has not lost in 17 matches in that time and they have not lost to the team during that stretch all the way back to 2005.

Man City comes in playing well in the League Cup and they come in as the defending champions and they also won the Premier League last year. Man City has been much better than Man United in recent years and they have not lost since back in September of 2012 in the competition. The offense has been rolling in that time and they have averaged four goals in the last seven matches and with players like Yay Toure and Nasri, it's easy to see why.

The team comes in after the last round which was a big win against Sheffield, as Man City scored seven goals in the second half. The team has the Manchester Derby this weekend and that is always a big matchup and they are not looking to take Newcastle lightly, even with that match on the horizon for the team. Man City has some big matches coming up, as they have Man United on Sunday and after that they will play against CSKA Moscow and Bayern Munich in the Champions League and they will be looking to lock things down in those games.
