The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens are playing on the NHL regular season schedule on Thursday night and the matchup is live from the Bell Centre and has a rematch from the playoffs as the east rivals go at it and it starts up on the NHL Network at 7:30 pm ET for these foes as PK Subban, Carey Price, Tuukka Rask and Zdeno Chara get on the ice.

The Bruins come into the game after a tough matchup with the Red Wings and that was a shootout win and now they have four points on the season. The Canadiens have been playing well to start the season and they are 3-1 on the year and they have six points and they are playing well coming into this game. Montreal won over the Bruins last season in the playoffs in an upset and they played against the Rangers in the east finals and now these two teams will matchup again.

The Bruins have the Buffalo Sabres next on the schedule and they have struggled to start the season on offense. The team is ranked 28th in the league in goals per game in the early part of the season and Patrice Bergeron is leading the team in points for the time being. Simon Gagne made his debut with the team and they are hoping he can get things going, while Rask is looking to get tight in net against the Canadiens on Thursday night. Montreal is currently leading the division and the Bruins are in the middle of things after being the best team in the east last season.

The Canadiens come into the game after a very tough loss against the Lightning and that saw the team allow seven goals and that was on the road. The team returns home for this matchup and they have the Avalanche next on the schedule and so far they have been playing well while leading the division apart from their last game. The team is just 24th in goals per game, but Price has played well and that has been enough for the division lead for now.
