The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks are playing live on the NHL preseason schedule on Sunday and the matchup is live from the Honda Center and has the LA Kings coming in as Stanley Cup champs and this California matchup starts at 8 pm ET for the Pacific Division rivals in the western conference.
The Ducks come into the game after losing to the Kings in a shootout and now they have the home matchup after the game at the Staples Center. The Kings were excellent last season and they come in looking to get off to a strong start and they are playing the Sharks next on the schedule and they come in after being the best team in the league last year. The Kings muscled around the Rangers and everyone else last season and now they will be looking to add another Cup after winning two in three years.
The Ducks feel that they have a chance to make a deep run and once again the west looks like it has the best teams in the NHL. The Kings were dominant in the playoffs but that only came after the team came back from 3-0 down against the Sharks and they also got every single call in the Stanley Cup finals against the Rangers. The Kings are looking like the team to beat and the Blackhawks also should be very tough once again.
The team comes in after being one of the best offensive teams in the league and they will be looking to pick that up again after making some moves in the offseason. The Kings are basically returning their entire team and they should be strong once again this year.
