Everton and Swansea City are playing on the Capital One Cup schedule on Tuesday and the third round matchup for the Football League Cup comes from Liberty Stadium and starts up at 2:45 pm ET as the two teams take a break from the English Premier League schedule and the match is big for the Swans and the Toffees as they try and keep things going for the trophy.

Everton is hoping to get back Bryan Oviedo for this match after he broke his leg back in January in the FA Cup and he could give the team a boost on Tuesday. Everton comes into the game at 14th in the Premier League and right now Swansea City is up near the top, resting just out of the top four. Swansea has been off to a solid start in the EPL and the Toffees are looking to get things going and they are in a group with Everton, Man United and Liverpool in the middle of the standings.

Everton and Swansea City play on the Premier League schedule in November and then again in April and Everton is hoping both Oviedo and Arouna Kone after being out with a knee issue. Swansea did not keep their League Cup title after losing to Birmingham and the team is looking to keep things going after winning against Valencia in the Europa League. The Europa tournament has a big prize at the end with the winners getting into the Champions League and the Swans are looking to stay sharp in all competitions.

Everton plays against Liverpool next on the EPL schedule and that is always a big game for the Merseyside derby and this year will be no different. Both teams are trying to find their footing in the Premier League and getting points out that match will be at a premium for both teams. The Merseyside derby is one of the top matches on the schedule for the weekend and Liverpool comes in with some major changes for Everton after the sides met last year. Other matches include Arsenal and Tottenham, Man United against West Ham and Hull City taking on Man City, while Chelsea will host Aston Villa.

These two teams have not played each other before in this tournament and the Swans are now looking to get a win against Everton for the first time. The team has fallen to the team in 15 matches and has drawn five times and this could be a big chance for the team. Swansea was the defending champs last year and lost to Birmingham and after getting off to a strong start in the Premier League, they are looking to bounce back here.
