The Fantasy Football Week 3 matchup schedule starts Thursday and some value adds and pick ups at the WR position this week include names like DeAndre Hopkins, Andrew Hawkins, Allen Hurns, Markus Wheaton, Rueben Randle, Steve Smith, Riley Cooper, Andre Roberts and Devin Hester as well as Eddie Royal, Jeremy Maclin and Odell Beckham if he suits up.

The WR position can be one of the most valuable in fantasy leagues when the scoring has PPR settings and that makes players like Hopkins and Hawkins ones to watch. Hopkins has shown that he has WR1 talent and he could start overshadowing Andre Johnson as things continue for the Houston Texans. The team is 2-0 and they are facing off against the Giants after they opened 0-2 and they also lost one of their starting corners in Walter Thurmond.

Allen Hurns had a breakout game to start the season and while he did not follow that up with a great game, he has the chance to be a factor for the Jaguars. The team has to throw the ball to someone and with Cecil Shorts not fully healthy, the team likely will keep using Hurns as one of their top receivers with Marqise Lee. Rueben Randle has the chance to be a solid number two and he made a very pretty TD catch on Sunday against the Cardinals and he could be a very solid pick for Sunday against the Houston Texans. Randle and Victor Cruz are the top WRs for Eli Manning and after a slow start, Randle could heat up.

Andrew Hawkins has been looked at as a sleeper option this season with Josh Gordon out and he made a great catch to help set up the Browns for their win over the Saints on Sunday. Hawkins along with Miles Austin are solid options from the Browns and Brian Hoyer showed that he can be a solid fantasy starter as well after the way he played against New Orleans. Markus Wheaton has stepped up for the Steelers, while Steve Smith has shown over two weeks that he can be a viable fantasy option for the Ravens.

Hopkins did not have a big game last week, but he has a great matchup with the Giants coming up and the injuries could mean that he has a nice day. Hopkins has blazing speed and he is coming off of a game with three catches on five targets for 22 yards, but he did add a touchdown. Hopkins has seven catches for 111 yards this season and he has two touchdowns. As a rookie, Hopkins was great with 52 catches for 802 yards.

Hawkins had the big play on Sunday and he had six catches on 12 targets for 70 yards in the game against the Saints and he now has 14 catches for 157 yards on the season. Hurns ended up with a quiet game on Sunday and now he is looking to bounce back after having one great game and one down game. Hurns is listed as day to day with an ankle injury but it doesn't appear to be serious and he has six catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns this season.
