Quarterback Russell Wilson #3 of the Seattle Seahawks warms up before their game against the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum on August 28, 2014 in Oakland, California."

The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks start the NFL season for Week 1 on Thursday night and the game is live on NBC and streaming from the NBC Sports Live Extra website at 8:30 pm Et from CenturyLink Field as opening weekend gets started and players like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Percy Harvin, Eddie Lacy and Randall Cobb are all in action.

The Seahawks open the season with a tough schedule and they have Green Bay at home before a trip to San Diego and then it's a Super Bowl rematch with the Broncos. The game against Denver is in Seattle and that will be one of the best games to watch this season. The Seahawks totally killed the Broncos last season in the playoffs and now Peyton Manning gets his chance for some revenge. Seattle went 13-3 last season and were the best team in the league and while the Packers went just 8-7-1, the record is a bit deceptive since they lost Aaron Rodgers for most of the year.

The Seahawks know they have a target on their back and this season they are bringing back a top ranked defense. The team took down the Denver Broncos from the first play in the Super Bowl and now they are looking to be repeat champs, but that hasn't happened in years. Richard Sherman comes back after his star making turn last season, while Earl Thomas, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch give the team elite players at a number of positions.

The Seahawks have a strong schedule to start the season and they play against the Packers to open before matching up with the San Diego Chargers and then the team plays against the Denver Broncos. The team has a bye and then things start to get going, as they have a stretch of three away games in four weeks, with trips to play the Washington Redskins, St Louis Rams and Carolina Panthers while playing the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo hat home.

The team has the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants back after that at home and then they have another stretch of three road games in four weeks. The team plays at Arrowhead against the Chiefs and that is considered to be the toughest place to play in that division and arguably in the league, while the team then has to play Arizona at home. After playing on the road against the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, the team will be back home against the Niners for another one before finishing the season with divisional games against the Cardinals and Rams.
