MLB Standings 2014: Wild Card Leaders and Division Records In AL and NL

The MLB Standings heading into the end of August has the Los Angeles Angels leading the AL West over the Oakland Athletics, while the Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants are in wild card position, while the Baltimore Orioles, LA Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Washington Nationals are leading divisions in the AL and NL.

The American League east has the Baltimore Orioles leading the Yankees and the Blues Jays by a wide margin, but NY is hanging in there, while the Jays are nine games out. The Royals are leading the Tigers in the AL Central, while the Angels have taken over the Athletics in the AL West.

The NL East has the Washington Nationals leading the Atlanta Braves, while the Central has the Brewers leading the Cardinals. The NL West has the Dodgers leading the San Francisco Giants, while the Giants are in the second wild card spot right now.

The Oakland Athletics are leading the top wild card spot over the Seattle Mariners, while the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians are in the mix as well. The National League has the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants leading the wild card, while the Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates are next in the standings.
