San Francisco Giants vs Chicago Cubs Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming MLB Game

The San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs are playing at Wrigley Field on the MLB schedule on Thursday night and it comes after the SF protest that was allowed for the game earlier in the week that finished today and this matchup starts at 8:05 pm ET and has Madison Bumgarner against Travis Wood as it allows the Giants to make up that former loss as they try and stay in the mix in the wild card race in the NL.

The Giants have played well on the road as of late and the matchup here comes after the teams finish up the protest game and while that decision was a tough one, SF deserved it and they may need that game as the wild card race stays tight. The team is now in one of the spots, but the Braves and other teams are lurking and they will try and keep things going as they face off on Thursday during the evening and in the night game as well.

The Giants are still alive in the NL west, but they are three games back and with the way the dodgers have been this season, the best chance is getting into the wild card. The Giants were leading the division for most of the season and had a double digit lead at one point, but LA turned it on and they haven't looked back. The same thing is happening in the AL as in the NL, as the southern Cal team took over and now they are leading the division, as the Angels caught up with the A's after some strong play and a slump and now they are in first place.

The Giants are a few games back in the division and they are one of the wild card teams right now with the St. Louis Cardinal. The Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates are next in the standings and those are the teams that the Giants will have to hold off.
