The MLB playoff standings for the 2014 season are getting very tight and teams like the LA Angels, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and Yankees are battling in the AL, while the NL has the Nationals, Dodgers and Brewers as division leaders over the Braves, Cardinals, Pirates and Giants battling for the wild card spots.

The AL East and NL East divisions are basically locked up barring any collapses with the Nationals and Orioles down in the Chesapeake Bay area, while the Angels now lead the AL West. The Royals are in first place in the AL Central, while the Brewers lead the NL Central and the Dodgers are in the NL West lead over the Giants.

The Mariners are one game back in the wild card standings, while the Athletics and the Tigers are leading right now. The NL has the Cardinals and the Giants leading, while the Braves and Pirates are next in the standings.
