The MLB Standings for the 2014 season are getting tight in the AL and NL, with the Kansas City Royals leading the Tigers in the AL Central, while the Angels, Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals, Milwaukee Brewers and LA Dodgers are in division leads, while the Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Yankees, Giants, Braves and Cardinals are all battling for the wild cards in the American League and National League.

The AL East race has the Baltimore Orioles leading by a wide margin over the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays and they appear to have that spot locked up. The Kansas City Royals have taken the lead in the AL Central race over the Tigers and now the AL West has gotten much tighter with the Angels and Athletics tied.

The National League has the Washington Nationals leading the NL East leading by six games over the Atlanta Braves, while the Miami Marlins are eight games back. The NL Central has the Milwaukee Brewers leading the St. Louis Cardinals by three games, while the LA Dodgers are leading by 3.5 games over the San Francisco Giants.

The American League wild card race is getting very close and the AL West race will be a factor with the Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners all close. The Angels and A's are in the wild card spot and division lead and the Mariners are tied for now along with the Detroit Tigers, while the Yankees, Blue Jays and Indians are also in the mix.

The National League wild card race has the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants leading the way, while the Atlanta Braves are one game out. The Pittsburgh Pirates and Miami Marlins are next in the standings and the Reds have faded out of things.
