The NY Yankees and Baltimore Orioles are playing live on the MLB schedule on Monday and the matchup in the AL East is a big one at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the game starts up at 7:05 pm ET and has Chris Capuano matching up against Bud Norris and the game is massive as New York tries to stay in the division and postseason race in the American League.

The Yankees now have to find a way to bounce back after a tough loss to the Indians, as they are playing against the Baltimore Orioles and can pick up some games in the division race. The AL East looks far out of reach for the Yankees without a sweep here and they need to keep up with everyone in the wild card race. The teams are lucky that the Blue Jays and Mariners are playing, meaning at least one of those will lose, but everyone is also looking at the Royals and they have been very hot of late.

The Orioles have been one of the best teams in baseball since the All-Star break and now they have another chance to keep that going. The Yankees have had a tough time against the Orioles here as of late and the team now needs to get things going in this series as the schedule starts to wind down on things. The Yankees are slumping on offense a bit and they lost 3-0 against the Indians on Saturday and scored just one run on Sunday and now they need to start hitting or this could be a long road trip mental wise.

The team comes in six games back in the division and two and half back in the wild card and that means Monday's game is nearly a must win. The Royals have been hot and the Mariners have won five of six and now host the Blue Jays and this is a chance for the Yankees to get back into things before slipping too far out. Norris has pitched well recently and the Yankees have been outscored bad of late and the Orioles know how to rake it.

The Yankees are in the middle of the pack when it comes to scoring and they need to wake the bats up for this series big time. The team is getting Michael Pineda back this week and that is massive for the rotation. The team has been dealing with tons of injuries and while the bullpen has been excellent, the starting rotation needs more and Pineda should help that.

The Yankees rank 17th in ERA and they have held tight with CC Sabathia and Masahiro Tanaka out, but they need everyone else to step up. If the bats wake up, they have a good chance to get this series going the right way.
