Trent Richardson is a fantasy football player to watch this season, as the Indianapolis Colts running back could be a sleeper draft pick for the 2014 campaign following his trade last year from the Cleveland Browns, as he was a big disappointment and now he is working with Edgerrin James in training camp and that could be a big help for his production this season.

The Colts have high hopes for Richardson and this comes after he averaged 2.9 yards per carry last season and he also lost his starting job. According to ESPN.com, James plans on working with Richardson through the preseason and that could be a big help for the back, who was a former top three overall pick with the Browns before being traded last year for a first round pick. Last season Richardson lost his starting job to Donald Brown late in the year and now he is looking for a bounce back season.

Richardson had a fantastic rookie season and ended up with over 1,000 total yards and now he is looking to get back to that production after spending the season in Indy. Richardson rushed for 950 yards as a rookie with 11 touchdowns and he was also impressive out of the backfield, making 51 catches for over 360 yards and another touchdown. Richardson did not follow that up last season and he had just 105 yards in two games before being traded and he finished the season with the Colts with 458 yards rushing.

Richardson could be a massive sleeper option this season if he can get back to his rookie season production and if he can catch the ball like he did, he will be very valuable in PPR leagues. Last season the Colts ranked 21st in rushing yards per game and they are looking to improve that this season. The team was 17th in passing yards per game and adding Hakeem Nicks could really open things up on offense and Andrew Luck will benefit from having Richardson return strong.
