The PGA Tour 2014 schedule picks up on Thursday with the British Open Championship and tee times start early in the morning from Royal Liverpool with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy for the next major on the calendar and it comes after Lefty won the major last year and has Woods looking to bounce back after his rough year on tour.

Woods is in a group with Argentina's Angel Cabrera and Sweden's Henrik Stenson and he will start off very early in the morning, as he is on at 9:04 am local time and that means 4:04 am ET and that should give people the chance to watch the highlights later on in the US. Mickelson is in the afternoon and he will be with Ernie Els and Bubba Watson and that should be a fun group to follow. Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama and Jordan Spieth are all together in another group where a winner could be, while Martin Kaymer will tee off with Jason Day and Zach Johnson in the afternoon.

Mickelson won the Scottish Open last year ahead of his British Open win and now he will be looking for two in a row starting on Thursday. Mickelson and McIlroy played in the Scottish Open last week, while Woods last played in the Quicken Loans and missed the cut there. Woods is coming back from an injury and he was not sharp his last time out, but he said that he is feeling good heading into the tournament and that he feels he can compete here.

Woods is coming back after his injury and missing the cut at the Quicken Loans tourney a couple weeks ago and he said that he is feeling good and is ready to contend. McIlroy was leading the Scottish Open this past week before fading a bit, while Justin Rose took that tournament a year after Mickelson won. That win set up Mickelson for his victory at Muirfield and now he is hoping to make it two in a row this time around.

This will be the 143rd Open Championship and a ton is riding on this one, as Woods could potentially snap his major streak, while Mickelson is looking to add another one. Mickelson has not been great since winning last year, playing in 23 events worldwide on both tours and finishing in the top 10 twice and now he is hoping to add another one to that list. Mickelson is coming in after finishing 11th in the Scottish Open, but hit a final round 66 and that could give him some momentum coming in.
