The World Cup 2014 knockout round bracket is nearly set and the last 16 teams will be through after Thursday's matches with the United States and Germany and the round of 16 schedule begins on Saturday in Brazil and the Group G games are massive as the final round is set and teams like Argentina, France, the Netherlands, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia and Brazil are already through to the next round of the draw.

The Group A teams are Brazil and Mexico and they come in after winning their third matches, drawing against each other and getting wins from their first matchups. The Mexican side is though after barely making it into the World Cup after some help from the United States in qualifying, while Brazil is considered to be the top favorite in the World Cup along with teams like Germany and Argentina.

Group B had some surprises, as Spain was eliminated after winning the World Cup in 2010 and now the Netherlands and Chile are through. The Dutch made it to the final last time against Spain and they are playing well, having scored 10 goals in this tournament. Robin Van Persie and Arjen Robben have scored three goals each and Chile was another surprise and they advanced with six points, while Spain left with three.

Colombia was the best team by far in Group C and they could be a factor moving forward, while Greece was the other team in over Ivory coast and Japan in that group set. Costa Rica and Uruguay are the teams in Group D over England and Italy, but that was very controversial after the bite from Luis Suarez. The Uruguay star is now banned nine games and will not be able to play in the rest of the World Cup and that will be big for the next stage and the Uruguay side.

Group E had France and Switzerland advance and Les Blues made it through with nine points and Karim Benzema led the way and they are a favorite moving forward now as well. Ecuador and Honduras ended up in the bottom of the group and now they are out. Argentina was the best team in Group F and they won that over Nigeria and now Lionel Messi leads his team into the round of 16.

Group G has Germany, the United States, Portugal and Ghana alive into the final day and in Group H Belgium is through, but Russia, Algeria and South Korea are alive heading into their matchups. The United States has played very well in this tournament and they have the chance to get to the knockout stage for the second straight Cup. The team won over Ghana and drew with Portugal in their first two games.
