The United States and Germany are playing on the World Cup 2014 schedule on Thursday for the final Group matchup for both teams and the game is on TV on ESPN and the start time is 12 pm noon for Team USA as the two sides try to advance to the knockout stage at Arena Pernambuco in Recife and the game will be online with a live stream from WatchESPN with Clint Dempsey, Graham Zusi, Thomas Muller and coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

Jozy Altidore remains out for the United States in this game and that makes it tough when playing against a team like Germany, but the US has been resilient and all they need is a draw and they make it into the knockout stage. The team still can lose and make it in depending on the results of the Portugal and Ghana match, but they can guarantee the spot with this result and the way they have played, they should be in. The team gave up a 2-1 lead and and ended up with a draw against Portugal after the amazing cross from Ronaldo with second left in the game and now the team has to find a way to get a result.

Clint Dempsey scored the go ahead goal after a beautiful shot in front of the goal from Graham Zusi that he put in off his chest and the team looked like it had three points in the bag and a spot in the knockout round. Germany can also advance with a draw and some have asked Klinsmann about playing the game that way or possible collusion with the German team, but he put that off and mentioned qualifying when the team defeated their opponent with nothing to gain or lose and that enabled Mexico to get in the tournament. Mexico is now through to the next stage and the US hopes to join them there.

The US had the lead right until the last second against Portugal and Ronaldo was able to get the cross to Silvestre Varela and now they have to find a way to bounce back. The team allowed a goal late to Ghana and responded with a winner from John Brooks and now they can show the world how good they are with a performance on Thursday. A draw is fine and that is what the team hopes gets them through if they play a tight game and it will be interesting to see the lineups of the match.

Check here for the United States and Germany schedule. The game starts at 12 pm ET on ESPN.
