The PGA Tour Leaderboard from the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell in 2014 has Ryan Moore coming in with the lead after shooting a 66 and live TV coverage comes from CBS and Moore has a one stroke lead over Aaron Baddeley and two over Sergio Garcia, KJ Choi and Scott Langley heading into the final round on Sunday.
Moore starts off his final round at 2 pm and that comes after he started off with a 63 in round 1 and that put him in the top spot and he has been under 70 for every round leading into sunday, putting up a 68 and a 66 in round two and three and now he starts off the day after leading by one stroke. Moore had a great round and put up an eagle and two birdies in his round on Saturday and he did not even have a bogey and he kept things mostly clean on the day to hold on to the lead and this comes after he won back in October for the CIMB Classic and this would be his fourth career victory on the PGA Tour.
Moore knows the course well and he has been very sharp this entire week, putting in an eagle on a par-5 and he put himself in position to win on Saturday with the lead ahead of the bunched up group. Bubba Watson came in after winning the Masters and and Garcia comes in after finishing in the top five in nine starts and he is looking for number 10 in the final round. The British Open is the next major after the US Open, which was won by Martin Kaymer and now Tiger Woods is getting ready to return and he will come back next week at Congressional and that means he should be ready for the Open Championship.
Scott Langley is making a push as Moore gets his start to the final round and Garcia has the chance to keep his strong play going into Sunday. Woods missed out on the last two majors after getting surgery and he now appears ready to return to action after sitting out for a couple months and that should bring more attention back to the tour once he gets back. His major drought has continued and the next tournament will be at Royal Liverpool and that is a place where Tiger has won before.
