Argentina's Lionel Messi celebrates scoring a goal against Bosnia during their 2014 World Cup Group F soccer match at the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro June 15, 2014."

The World Cup 2014 schedule is live on the radio with Argentina taking on Iran in a Group F match and the game is live on ESPN Radio and WatchESPN and the match starts at 12 pm ET from Estádio Mineirão in Belo Horizonte and this gives Lionel Messi and his nation the chance to put themselves in position to advance to the knockout stages with a win.

Messi is the best player in the world and he scored a goal in the first matchup of the group stage with Bosnia and Herzegovina and he could be the main key for the squad heading into the next stage. The team is leading the group with three points and they are the clear favorites in this draw and Messi has the chance to be the key factor in this game and Argentina comes in a the favored team in this game. Argentina comes in after getting outshot in their first game and they still were able to win and they will have to play better than that to make a deep run in this tournament and into the knockout stage.

Messi had a great looking goal in the game against Bosnia and that was one of only two shots on target out of 12 shots in the game and the team made the most of those with two goals. Bosnia had four more shots and four more on target shots and Argentina needs to play better overall for the team to win on Saturday, even with Iran as the less-talented team. Messi's goal against Bosnia was very impressive and he took the ball from the top of the box on the attack and moved with a great individual play past three defenders and put the goal into the net and now he will have the main focus for Iran and they will try to shut him down.

Messi and players like Cristiano Ronaldo often have hard times taking over in World Cup games, as they are not playing with their usual teammates and that makes it tough to get into a rhythm sometimes. Messi comes in as the better player right now since Ronaldo is dealing with a knee injury and that could be a huge factor in the game with Portugal.

The United States is also playing this weekend and they are a team to watch now, as they won their first game against Ghana and they have three points coming into the game against Portugal and if they win they could advance to the next stage. The United States did not get much credit playing in the group of death, but they have shown they can play with these teams and they need to get a result to get through to the next stage.
