The World Cup schedule for Brazil 2014 continues into the weekend and the bracket is updated below with a link to a printable PDF as the soccer tournament moves towards the knockout stage and this comes as teams have established themselves in group play, with Brazil, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, Argentina and Chile all looking strong.

The schedule on Thursday has one of the most anticipated games of the tournament, as England and Uruguay will be playing in Sao Paulo for Group D and if one of the teams loses, it is the end for their World Cup hopes. The two sides could play to a draw and that still will make it difficult to get out of the group stage, but either way points are needed for these two teams. Spain is already bounced from the tournament and they are the first defending champ to lose their first two group games and score just one goal and now England is trying to avoid the same fate.

England is in a must win situation and so is Uruguay, as they both lost their opening group matches and now need to find a way to get some points here. Group D now has Italy and Costa Rica on top and those two teams play on Friday and that gives Uruguay and England a slight head start for their second matches before the final games next week. Wayne Rooney has played well for England and Daniel Sturridge had the goal for the team and now they have to find a way to win some points on Thursday.

The schedule on Friday has the Swiss playing France in a matchup of that groups leaders, while Ecuador and Honduras are also matching up. The United States is playing again on Sunday and that matchup will be against Portugal. The game is huge for the US, as they got three points in their first game and could put the team in position to advance with another victory. Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to bounce back after losing to Germany 4-0 and the team will be playing with some motivation after being kept clean in that match.

Germany plays Ghana next and they can wipe them out from the group stage with a win, while the US plays Germany in their final game. Brazil along with Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands are now the favorites with Spain out and the US can take advantage with a win against Portugal on Monday.
