Germany's Lukas Podolski (R) and Mesut Oezil stretch during a training session at the Arena Fonte Nova stadium ahead of their 2014 World Cup against Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo in Salvador, June 15, 2014. "

Germany and Portugal are playing on the World Cup schedule on Monday in Group G and the matchup is on TV from ESPN and the live stream is from WatchESPN starting up at 12 pm noon ET from Salvador and this matchup opens the group of death and comes before the United States plays and this features Cristiano Ronaldo and comes as both teams are hoping to start off with a victory.

Germany is one of the favorites in the tournament along with Brazil and Argentina, while Spain now has to rebound after losing their opening match to the Netherlands and they are one of the favored teams as well. The Dutch now have the inside track in that group and Spain will have to win their next match and now Germany is hoping to match the good start of the Dutch against Portugal and they are a strong team in Group G as well. Germany has Mesut Özil from Arsenal as one of their key players and they are deep with Toni Kroos and Julian Draxler as well as Lukas Podolski and they will be tough to beat.

Germany opens against Portugal and then plays against Ghana and that will be a big match before they finish against Jurgen Klinsmann and the USA team. The United States comes into things very prepared and while they are in a hard group they feel they can play everyone tough, including Ghana, who has knocked them out the past two World Cup tournaments. The Germans were strong in qualifying and did not lose and they were tops in their group and now they are one of the favorites to advance in this draw.

Brazil opened up the tournament with an up and down game and they got three points over Croatia after two goals from Neymar, but it was not without controversy, as a penalty call in the game came under fire after for a flop by Fred. Neymar was able to connect to make the score 2-1 and that tipped things to Brazil and the ended up scoring three goals, but after the game everyone agreed that the Fred flop was a bad one and the official made the wrong call and it was chalked up to the fact that Brazil is the host nation and now they have an edge heading into the next game.

Mexico is the other team in the lead in Group A and they won over Cameroon and that was just 1-0 but the team should have had three goals and two were called off after offsides calls. The two calls that were made ended up looking wrong afterwards and that was another bad performance by the officials. The weather was not good that day for the match between Mexico and Cameroon and now the Mexican side plays against Brazil in their next game and that is a huge matchup for both sides if they want to advance. After winning their first matches the teams can afford a loss, but it will make it tough to get out of the group and a draw here would be amazing for the Mexican team. England suffered a loss against Italy to open their group play and that was in Natal at the Amazon Stadium and now they have no choice but to try and win their next game and that will be a big one against Uruguay.
