The World Cup 2014 results saw the Netherlands win over Spain in their rematch in Brazil from the 2010 WC and Robin Van Persie was front and center and scored a fantastic header goal to help Holland get the first group win of the tournament for the Dutch, while the defending champions now are in a tough spot in Group B as they try and recover to get to the knockout stages.

The Dutch team played fantastic through the second half and dominated the reigning World Cup champions and now they have the advantage in the group. The team went down 1-0 in the game and then scored five straight goals and things got started off with Robin Van Persie's fantastic header. That goal was in response to a penalty shot called after a play with Diego Costa that replay showed probably should not have been called. The officiating has come under fire so far in the tournament, but it would not factor into this match, as Van Persie and the Dutch kept coming.

Robin Van Persie and Arjen Robben scored goals and Van Persie had one of the best plays of the tournament, going over 50 yards and bouncing a header into the net on a fly. Van Persie rushed down the field to greet his new Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal and that was just the beginning for the team, who scored just as the first half was ending and then started things off quickly with a goal from Arjen Robben and then Stefan de Vrij scored before Van Persie and Robben added another goal each.
