Rory McIlroy leaves the course as the leader after completing the first round of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. "

The PGA Tour schedule picks up with the U.S. Open Golf Championship starting on June 12 as the next major tournament and things start at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina on Thursday for the first round and the TV schedule and live stream coverage comes from ESPN, NBC, WatchESPN and the NBC Sports Live Extra website for the rounds and it comes after after Ben Crane won at the St Jude Classic coming into the major and Tiger Woods will be out for the major tournament with an injury.

The U.S. Open will start Thursday at Pinehurst No. 2 and Tiger Woods will not be participating after dealing with back surgery and that leaves Justin Rose coming in as the defending champion from 2013. Crane comes into the week after playing 30 holes on the final day in Memphis due to all the weather delays and he won for the first time in a few years since back in 2011 and he was leading from wire to wire and held on at the end over Troy Merritt. Webb Simpson finished back with Matt Every and Carl Pettersson and Merritt was very good all the way to the end and finished in second place.

Crane finished the day with a three over 73 to get a one stroke win over Merritt and he had to play 12 holes in the morning on top of his 18 to finish off the third round after weather wreaked havoc throughout the weekend. Phil Mickelson played well at times over the weekend and he will be one player to watch heading into the US Open and Woods missing the Open likely means he will be out of the British Open Championship and that is at Royal Liverpool and his entire season schedule could be up in the air since he has not return date yet.

Mickelson has not won in 20 events since taking the British Open and he ended up sixth after playing well but he never really commanded for the top of the leaderboard. He had some nice birdie shots and couldn't keep things consistent throughout the final two rounds and Mickelson said he felt good finishing up his tournament. Mickelson is dealing with an insider trading probe right now and that could distract him a bit heading into the US Open.

The PGA Tour leaderboard and tourney is back on Sunday with the FedEx St. Jude Classic final round from Memphis and the tournament is back after delays for weather with Round 4 and Round 3 played on Sunday as Ben Crane leads and Phil Mickelson is not far behind and things are on CBS and streaming online during the afternoon. The players came in on Saturday and had to finish late and on Sunday the play was started early to finish off the third round in after there was rain again on Friday and now players will have to make that up and the stream is online and from CBS for the second round and third round as well as final round coverage on Sunday with Ben Crane coming in as the leader with Phil Mickelson chasing heading into the weekend.
