The San Antonio Spurs won over the Miami Heat in game 1 of the NBA Finals and the playoffs series has the team up a game and they got the Game 1 win by the score of 110-95 at the AT&T Center and now the team has a 1-0 series lead heading into Game 2 and that is huge with the game coming on Sunday night before the series shifts to Miami.

The Spurs went on a 28-9 run against the Heat and they had 23 turnovers and still won despite giving up 28 points off of those and now San Antonio is up 1-0 in the series. The Heat were up seven and they couldn't hold on and they lost game 1 last year as well and now will have to rally against the Spurs again to win the series.

The Spurs needed to win this game more than the Heat and they got lucky with what happened to LeBron James and with the air conditioning and the fact that someone is talking about an electrical problem is ridiculous for an NBA finals game. James had 25 points and Tim Duncan had 21 points to lead the Spurs, while Manu Ginobili and Boris Diaw led in rebounds and assists. The game was decided by outside circumstances and now Spurs fans are excited because they were able to win a game that should have been closer and ended up a blowout.

The Spurs failed the NBA by having their air conditioning unit go off and this game should have been postponed but clearly it's all about the money as usual so they wouldn't do that. The Heat were strong until LeBron James had to go out with cramps from the 90 degree heat in the arena on the night and that is not a fair condition to play an NBA finals game. The NBA should have taken some action during this game because it was not a fair circumstance to either side and if James did not have to sit out the outcome could have been different.

The Miami Heat came into the finals after defeating the Indiana Pacers in six games, but the series never felt that close and now James and company are marching towards a third championship. James is looking to win his third MVP award in the finals as well and he is looking to put himself and the Big in some great company, as the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls are the only teams in the past couple decades to win three in a row.

James as well as Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will join players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Shaq as players that have won three titles in a row and that would put James on track legacy wise with Jordan. The Heat are the first team since the Lakers and Celtics in the 1980s to make it to four straight finals and they are matching up with the Spurs for the second year in a row. The Spurs have been thinking about this game for that long, as they can still see Ray Allen shooting a three pointer in their nightmares in Game 6.
