New York Rangers left wing Chris Kreider (20) celebrates his goal against Montreal Canadiens with teammates during the second period in the game five of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Bell Centre. "

The Montreal Canadiens and NY Rangers are playing live on the NHL schedule for Game 6 and the matchup from Madison Square Garden at 8 pm ET in New York is streaming online from the NBC Sports Network and the eastern conference finals series is 3-2 and Henrik Lundqvist is getting the start after being pulled in the last game and now Martin St. Louis, Rick Nash and Brad Richards must step up.

The Rangers had the chance to clinch in Game 5 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where they won the first two games of the series, but the team could not mount a comeback after falling behind and now they must come together again. The team has rallied behind Martin St. Louis after the death of his mother and now they have to make sure they win on Thursday, as a loss will force a Game 7 in Montreal and that would be a disaster after the team was up 3-1 in the series. The team won Game 4 at MSG with an overtime goal from St. Louis and now they will need some more magic.

The Rangers have been playing with house money all playoffs, as they won Game 7 against the Flyers at MSG and then made a historic comeback against the Penguins and now they have to take care of business against the Canadiens on Thursday. The team was left for dead against Pitt when they went down in that series, as the team won Game 1 in overtime but them lost the next two games in terrible fashion with barely any offense, but that all changed in Game 5. Chris Kreider helped snapped a crazy long power play drought in that game and that is what kept the Rangers alive in the series and brought them back to life.

The Rangers was dominant in the first two games in Montreal before losing Game 3 at home and while they got the win in Game 4, the team now has to make sure they do not allow a Game 7 after being up 3-1 in the series, as that could be very tough to overcome. The players on both sides have chalked up a lot of the bounces in the series to just simply hockey being hockey and now the team knows the pressure they are under heading into Thursday.

New York has not been in this situation for many years and this is the closest they have come to the Stanley Cup finals since back in 1994 when the team won the Cup and that was 20 years ago, making all this even more pressure packed. The team won in seven games in the eastern conference finals against the Devils that year before winning the Cup over the Canucks and after that the team made it to the conference finals just two more times until this year, losing to the Flyers in 1997 and then losing to the Devils in 2011 and now they are back.

The Rangers will be without John Moore in this game for his elbow in the last game, while Brandon Prust will return for the Canadiens and this comes after he broke the jaw of Derek Stepan earlier in the series. Stepan had two goals in the last game and now the Rangers are looking to take care of business at home, while in the west the Kings and Chicago Blackhawks are 3-2 with the next game in LA.
