The OKC Thunder won over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the western conference finals on Sunday night for a 2-1 series lead and that was a massive win, as San Antonio was up 2-0 and this game marked the return of Serge Ibaka, who gave the team a defensive boost, while Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook led the way for Oklahoma City as they try to even things up.

Durant was great during the game all over the floor and he ended up with 10 rebounds, while Westbrook had 26 points and seven assists to lead the Thunder, who led in the last three quarters of the game after coming out of the first with a one point deficit. The Spurs for 23 points from Manu Ginobili and the return of Obaka surely made a difference and now the Thunder feel like they have a chance to get back into the series. Many counted out the team at 2-0 down after the way the first two games went and now they have the chance to get back even with another win at home.

The Thunder came back from 2-0 down against the San Antonio Spurs two years ago as they made their run to the finals and while many said that the team couldn't do it again, they are already halfway there. Kawhi Leonard had 10 points, while Ginobili had over 20 again with one rebound and four assists, while Westbrook led the way with over 25 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in another impressive game.

Oklahoma City was much better on the defensive end with Ibaka and the team finally had some size in the middle and this was the first of the two that was not a blowout. The Thunder ended up leading in blocks and having Ibaka back helped that, while the team also was better in steals, fast break points, rebounds and field goal percentage and all that put the team in position to win. The Thunder now are down 2-1 in the series and they can even things up at 2-2 with the next game on Tuesday.
