New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh (27) celebrates his goal against Montreal Canadiens with teammate center Brad Richards (19) during the third period in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Bell Centre. "

The NY Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens are playing on the NHL playoffs schedule on Monday night for Game 2 and the matchup comes from the Bell Centre in Canada after New York won the first game in explosive fashion and it starts at 8 pm ET from the NBC Sports Network on TV and the Live Extra website for the live stream and now Carey Price will be out for the rest of the eastern conference finals.

The Rangers are coming into the game with tons of momentum after scoring seven goals in the first matchup and they got one goal each from different players and the biggest one might be the one that Rick Nash scored. Chris Kreider had an issue with Carey Price after sliding into him during one play and now Price is out for the series and Kreider has continued to play very well, including scoring a goal in the first game and now the Rangers are looking very good up 1-0 heading into the season matchup. Derek Stepan had the last goal of the game while Martin St. Louis has the first and now the team will try and use their emotion to pull together to get it done.

The Rangers last won the Stanley Cup 20 years ago in 1994 and that was also the last time the team had even made it into the finals. This is the second time in three years that the team has advanced into the eastern conference finals and when they did it two years ago that was the first time they had done it since 1997 and now the team is trying to put all that history behind them. They hadn't won the Cup in 54 years the last time the Rangers won and now they are close to getting back to the finals and it would be only the second championship in over 70 years for the franchise, who has had some tough years in the past.

The Rangers got some great play from some changed up lines, as they lost Derek Brassard in the game and had to improvise and that led to some great passes from Dominic Moore, who had two assists in the game. Moore has been great in the playoffs and he understands what St. Louis is going through after losing his wife last year. The Rangers have been aggressive and smart and they took advantage of some bad plays from Montreal, as they took some dumb penalties and NY ended up with three power play goals in the game.

Nash leads the team in shots and now he has his first goal of the playoffs and now the Rangers must make sure they do not allow the momentum to shift too much in Game 2. The team broke a bad streak at Bell for Lundqvist, who won there for the first time since 2009 and now they have the chance to take a commanding lead in the series, something they have been unable to do in recent years. The team played a seven game series against the Flyers and then came back in seven after going down 3-1 to the Penguins and the team has not lost since. The Canadiens swept the Lightning and then won in seven against the Bruins before this series.
