The NHL playoffs standings for 2014 has three Game 7 matchups on the Wednesday schedule, as the NY Rangers play the Philadelphia Flyers, the LA Kings matchup with the San Jose Sharks, while the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild also have a winner take all game with all of the series tied 3-3 and the Rangers have won their Game 7 matchup against the Flyers.

The Rangers lost in a rough game on Tuesday night in Philly against the Flyers by the score of 5-2 and they were down 4-0 at one point and now the two teams have to play back to back matchups with game 7 coming on Wednesday and the Rangers will have that game at home. The series shifts back to Madison Square Garden and now no team has won consecutive games in this series and that actually gives the Rangers a boost since they now are in position to win at home. The series is tied 3-3 and the Rangers have played better at home and Henrik Lundqvist now will have to be at the top of his game after having a rough matchup on Tuesday.

The Rangers couldn't get much past Steve Mason on Tuesday, but they added two goals at the end and that could give them some momentum into Game 7 even with the loss in Game 6. Mason returned in Game 4 and beat the Rangers and now he has the chance to matchup with the King and it will be a very tough matchup on both sides. The Rangers game starts up at 7 pm ET and will be on the NBC Sports Network and that comes before the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche Game 7.

The eastern conference playoffs are all set apart from this series, as the Penguins are waiting to see if they will play against the Rangers or the Flyers, while the Boston Bruins and the Canadiens matchup is already set. The west has the Chicago Blackhawks and the Anaheim Ducks through and now the Avalanche are looking to get through the Wild and the Kings past the Sharks. The LA series has been amazing and after starting off down 3-0, the Kings are coming back and now they have forced Game 7 and could give the Sharks yet another collapse.

The Rangers won game 1 of the series after a strong performance from Brad Richards and then the team alternated wins and losses the rest of the way and now they need to rebound. Dominic Moore score in back to back games for the Rangers and they need more from Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash. The Rangers and Flyers have not played in the playoffs since 1997 and the Flyers won that series and now the Rangers have the chance to close it out in their own building for Game 7.
