The NHL playoffs standings has the NY Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers playing on the postseason schedule for Game 6 on Tuesday and the series is 3-2 and if Philly ties it at 3-3, Game 7 will be on Wednesday along with the final series games for the Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, LA Kings and San Jose Sharks and those all could be very exciting.

The Rangers are hoping to avoid a Game 7 matchup, as that would be a back to back game after Game 6 and it would be at MSG in NY on Wednesday to end the first round series. The game on Tuesday night starts up at 7:30 pm ET and comes from the NBC Sports Network and has the Rangers looking to end things but they have had trouble closing out series over the past few years and that could mean a Game 7 matchup. Playing a Game 7 would be very tough, as Philly would have the momentum no matter what if they win Game 6 and while the Rangers have played better at home, it still could be very tough to advance.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have already made it through and they are waiting for the winner of this series, while the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens are already through to the second round and they will matchup in the playoffs. The Bruins won four straight games against the Detroit Red Wings to win that series, while the Canadiens won in a sweep against the Lightning and now that series is set as everyone waits for the Rangers and Flyers.

The West has the Anaheim Ducks through and on Wednesday, the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche play a Game 7 along with the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks. That series has some intrigue, as LA was down 3-0 in the series and now they have the chance to pull another historic upset. The Rangers come into the game after winning in Game 5 and they got off to a great start in that game and now they are looking to get into the second round for the third straight season.

The Kings won in Game 6 against the Sharks to set up the final matchup in the series, while the Avalanche now has a final Game 7 matchup after being up 2-0 in the series. The Penguins closed out their series in perfect fashion against the Blue Jackets for that series, as they went up 3-0 and ended up winning the game 4-3, as every game in that series has been close with comebacks. The Chicago Blackhawks stormed back against the Blues and they won four games in a row to get that series after going down 2-0 and now the defending champions are back after winning the Stanley Cup last season and they are looking strong.
