The Dallas Cowboys are coming into the draft in 2014 with a number of needs at various positions and while it's unlikely that the team will snag Johnny Manziel or Mike Evans, there is a chance Jerry Jones could trade up if either of those players fall beyond the top 12 picks and some other potential options for the team includes Aaron Donald, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Timmy Jernigan.

The Cowboys missed the playoffs last season once again after losing the final game of the year and now they head into the draft looking to improve and one area of concern is at wide receiver. The team has plenty of talent in Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams, but they could use a legitimate number three and with names like Nate Burleson, Kenny Britt and Jason Avant already off the market and Sidney Rice not a great option, the team could use the draft to pick up someone. The team has the number 16 pick in the draft and that could put them in the mix for a number of wide receivers.

The class this season is quite deep at the position, as names like Marqise Lee, Kelvin Benjamin, Jordan Matthews and Allen Robinson along with Brandin Cooks all could be available at that spot. ESPN.com writes that while the team has Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasley to use at the position, that doesn't mean they won't try and grab someone in the draft when it comes up in May. The team wants to continue adding weapons for Tony Romo and while he of course has Jason Witten, the team would like some more depth at WR. Last season Williams was very good and made 44 catches for 736 yards and five touchdowns and now that Miles Austin is gone, the team may want to bring in another player.

Mike Evans would be interesting if he fell out of the top 15 and while that is very unlikely to happen, stranger things have occurred in the NFL draft. The same goes with Manziel, as Jones would love nothing more than for the Texas A&M star to stay in Texas and wear his star and while the team of course has Romo, Manziel could be an option for the future and he somehow falls out of the top 10, Jones could jump to make a move.

The team ranked 14th in passing yards last season and 24th in rushing, so a running back cold be coming later on, but if those two players don't fall, expect some defense in the first round and names like Aaron Donald, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Timmy Jernigan and Justin Gilbert could be in the mix. The Cowboys ranked in the bottom of the league in both passing and rushing yards allowed last season and that is one reason why scouts think they will go with defense in the first round. The team has flexibility, as they got three compensatory picks and they have one pick in each of the first five rounds and six in the seventh.
