The New York Giants have been one of the most active teams in free agency this offseason and now they have added two more players in Robert Ayers and Charles Brown and other targets like Sidney Rice, Santonio Holmes, Andre Brown, Miles Austin, Jason Avant, Jermichael Finley and Nate Burleson could be free agents targets the team picks up before the draft.

The Giants had a rough season in 2013 and general manager Jerry Reese is reshaping the team on both sides of the ball, signing over 20 free agents in total after losing names like Justin Tuck, Hakeem Nicks and Linval Joseph. The Giants added Ayers and Brown this week, while Zack Bowman signed and Mike Patterson was brought back on a contract and that should add some solid depth to the defense. The offensive line was a mess last season in front of Eli Manning and now Reese has added Geoff Schwartz, JD Walton and Brown, while Chris Snee and Justin Pugh are also coming back after David Baas was released.

The Giants rushing attack was terrible last season and it also did not help that the offensive line was extremely inconsistent and now Reese is hoping the addition of Rashad Jennings could be a huge boost for manning and new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Jennings led the Raiders in rushing last season and he also has less wear and tear on him than running backs his age, as he was not a starter with the Jaguars and he only became a starter with the Raiders due to injuries. The Giants rushing attack could totally help reshape their offense and if Jennings can be consistent, Manning will have a weapon in the backfield he did not last season with David Wilson and Andre Brown.

Ayers is another addition to the defensive line after Tuck left for the Raiders and Joseph signed with the Vikings and while he has not been too productive during his career, it adds a solid veteran with talent to the defensive front for the Giants. Ayers has had only 12 sacks since being drafted in the first round back in 2009 and he had a 5.5 last season and gives the team depth with Jason Pierre-Paul, Johnathan Hankins, Mathias Kiwanuka and Damontre Moore. The Giants have the number 12 pick in the draft and many think that they will go after Eric Ebron with their first pick since they need a tight end.
