The UConn Connecticut Huskies and the Michigan State Spartans are playing in the Elite 8 for a chance at the Final Four on Sunday and the game on CBS starts up at 2:20 pm ET and has both teams looking to continue their strong play in the NCAA tournament and the game is live from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Michigan State comes into the game after a close win against a number one seed in Virginia and the Cavaliers put up a good fight but they couldn't get past the Spartans and now they are matching up with the Huskies in front of a hometown crowd in the tri-state area and the two teams come into the game with same record at 29-8 and they are strong teams with veteran leaders looking to make it into the Final Four. Florida and Wisconsin are already through and that comes after wins against Dayton and Arizona. The only number one seed now left is Florida and that comes after losses from the Wildcats, Wichita State and Virginia and that makes them the favorites heading into the final stretch to the national championship game, as they have lost just two games this season and went undefeated in the SEC.

The Spartans come into the game averaging over 75 points per game and the team is sixth in the nation in assists per game and they have leaders in Gary Harris, Adreian Payne, Keith Appling and Branden Dawson and they will be up against DeAndre Daniels and Shabazz Napier for the Huskies and that should be a great matchup up front and in the backcourt. Dawson led the way for Michigan State against Virginia, scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Harris was tops in assists and the team will rely on him heavily after the way he played in the last round. The team is shooting nearly 48 percent from the field and they are ranked in the top 40 in rebounding on defense and they are allowing 65 points per game on defense.

The Spartans come in after winning six games in a row and now they have the chance to advance to the Final Four and the winner will face off against Florida, the number one seed in the tournament. Harris comes in after leading the team in scoring with 17 points during the season over Payne, who had 15 points and Dawson was tops in rebounding, grabbing over eight per game while Payne was second with seven per contest. Appling has been playing very well and he is tops in assists per game with over four per contest and in the other game it's Kentucky taking on Michigan on CBS after the Spartans and Huskies play.

Check here for the UConn and Michigan State game and the winner heads to the Final Four and it would be a huge victory for Tom Izzo and his team and they are looking like one of the favorites in the tournament.
