Robert Morris and St. John's are playing in the first round of the NIT Tournament on Tuesday and the matchup has a number one facing a number eight in the Red Storm and the Colonials and the matchup will be on ESPNU and live streaming from the WatchESPN website starting up at 7 pm ET from Carnesecca Arena in Queens.

St. John's comes into the game as one of the top seeds in the tournament and they are looking to have a nice run after a solid season in the Big East and they are facing off against a team that went 14-2 in their own conference, while the Storm went just 10-8. The Johnnies come in after a loss against Providence and the Friars are now in the NCAA tournament and now the Storm are looking to have a solid run of things and they come into the game with over 70 points per game to rank 121st in the league and they are in the top 100 in rebounding and that has been one of their strengths this year.

The team is shooting nearly 50 percent from the field this season and they were ranked first in the nation in blocks per game and they have averaged over seven blocks per game this season. The Johnnies have been playing some solid defense with 67 points allowed per game and they are ranked 65th in rebounds per game with 25 per game and they are just under seven steals per game as well. St. John's had a great run to the end of the season, winning six games in a row in the Big East and they won nice games over Butler and Georgetown as well as Creighton this season.

The team finished six games back in the Big East and they are matching up with Robert Morris after losing to the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers and now that team is in the NCAA tournament. The team comes in with over 70 points per game and they are shooting nearly 44 percent from the field and the defense has been allowing over 70 as well and they are ranked in the top 70 in steals per game with over seven and now these two teams will matchup looking to get into the next round of the tournament.

SMU ended up in the NIT as well and they are the number one seed along with Florida State, the Red Storm and Minnesota and these teams will be looking to add a championship at the NIT.
