The PGA Tour leaderboard has Rory McIlroy on top and leads the Honda Classic From Palm Beach Gardens in Florida over Tiger Woods as he starts his final round on Sunday and he has a two stroke lead to open the day on Russell Henley, Russell Knox and three on Keegan Bradley and he could be looking for his first win of the season by the end of things.

Woods has not had the start he wanted to the year after flaming out of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and at the Dubai Desert Classic and after getting off to a slow go of it at the Honda, Woods had a fantastic day on Saturday, putting up his best score of the season with a 65 at five under and that put him in the mix to start things on Sunday for the final round. Woods likely will not be able to catch McIlroy without another great day, but he at least had a positive round after some disappointing performances this year already.

McIlroy is doing much better than he did last year when he walked off in the second round after a mess of a start and now he is in position to win. McIlroy started off slow on the course but he picked things up as time went on and he ended up going six under over the last 12 holes of the day and he finished early on just as the rest of the field was picking up. McIlroy now comes into things at eighth after being number one last year and winning five times the year before and now he hopes to get off to a better start in 2014 and then turn that into another major victory, as the Masters are already around the corner.

Woods would love to get a mulligan on the start of this season, because the way things are going, the Masters could be a disaster if he keeps playing like this. Woods started off with a rough performance at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and he ended up missing the secondary cut at 80th and that was a tournament he won last year. Woods then went to Dubai and he played better, but not great and ended up in 41st and now he is off to the worst start over that stretch in his career.
