The Honda Classic is back for round two and is live on Friday with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott and Phil Michelson and the tournament comes from Palm Beach Gardens and is streaming online and has McIlroy in the early lead after a great day on Thursday and now Woods is looking to get back into things ahead of the Masters after a one over day and he needs to get back on track.
Woods chased down his number one ranking back from McIlroy last year and won five times on the tour, but after starting this season off with a couple rough tournaments, Woods is now looking to get things back on track. McIlroy was fantastic on the first day and he led all players at the end of the day with a 63 in the round and he ended up with a seven under par on the day.
McIlroy is looking to start the season off with a nice run and he has put together a good round on Thursday to take the early lead and that came after he finished at seven under. McIlroy was one up to start the day on the leaderboard and last year he had a terrible Honda Classic and left the tournament and last year was a tough one overall, as Woods won five times and he won zero majors and so did Woods of course, but Woods took back his number one ranking in the world and now the two have flipped a bit, as Woods has had a terrible start to the year and McIlroy has been playing well.
Last year, McIlroy ended up leaving the tournament out of pure frustration in the second round and left PGA National and said later he was dealing with some pain and other issues. McIlroy was solid putting the ball and had good tee shots and Woods came into the day eight shots back after not playing since Dubai where he finished 41st and that came after he missed the secondary cut at Torrey Pines and now he is looking to turn it around.
