The Farmers Insurance Open is live on Sunday for the final round of the PGA Tour event and the field will be without Tiger Woods after he missed the secondary cut at Torrey Pines and now the leaderboard has Gary Woodland leading and Marc Leishman tied with Jordan Spieth in second heading into the day and it means a new champion will be crowned, as Woods won this event last year.

Woods won five times last season on tour and he got off to a rough start this year, missing the final day but not the cut, as his score missed the secondary cut meaning the field was brought down and he was one of the odd men out for the first time in his career. Woods said he was frustrated with his play and he likely is happy to finish things off early so he can get focused on his next tournament and this now was one of the worst performances of his career. Woods is hoping to get back on track and win a major this year, but getting off to this start is never a good thing.

Woods is heading to the Middle East next for a European Tour matchup and that will be in the Dubai Desert Classic and he ended up with a seven over 79 on the south course and he did not birdie any of the par fives either. Woodland started the day with a lead of a stroke over the next group of players and he will tee off last, while the field will be without two of the biggest names in Woods and Phil Mickelson, who withdrew with a back injury.
