The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are facing off in the NFC Championship game after winning in the divisional round of the playoffs and the two teams are very familiar foes from the NFC West division and the game at CenturyLink Field has the Seahawks as the favorite and is the late game on Sunday at 6:30 pm ET on FOX.

The Seahawks are the number one seed in the conference and that gave the team home field advantage through the playoffs and that could be the difference in this game, as these two teams have played twice already and the home team won each of those games. The Seahawks have only lost one game in the past two seasons at home and that came this year against the Arizona Cardinals in a close matchup and heading into the third head to head game with the Niners, Seattle is feeling confident after allowing just three points in the matchup in Week 2 on the schedule. Michael Crabtree did not play in that game, but the Seahawks were still very impressive and now they will come into the game on Sunday with confidence after previously defeating the team at home this season.

The Niners got some revenge with a win in the Bay Area later in the season, but that was on a last minute field goal and now the team will have to hit the road for the second week in a row after winning against the Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks are coming into the game as the betting favorite by a field goal and the matchup may come down to who can stop the run in the game, as Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore are two of the best running backs in the league and both of the defenses are top ranked as well. The NFC team in the Super Bowl will have one of the best young QBs in the league in Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick and on the AFC side of the bracket it's two classic veterans HOFers in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Wilson and Kaepernick are dynamic in different ways and the Seahawks will have to keep the Niners star in the pocket and the secondary is good enough to fight against a passing game that can be lost at time. The 49ers have weapons on offense with Crabtree and Vernon Davis, but the Seahawks defense is one of the best in the league and the secondary is deep and top heavy with Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas and that will be one of the most intense matchups in the game. The Niners have been in this position before and the Seahawks are coming in as the favorites from very early in the season and this is the matchup many predicted.

To the Prediction:

Seahawks 31, Niners 24

This game honestly could go either way, since both teams are strong from top to bottom and so with that being in mind, the 12th Man and the home field advantage comes into play and that pushes Seattle into the Super Bowl.
